Organized transportation from the hotels to FER

On Wednesday, June 13, there will be organized transportation by bus that will take participants to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. The bus will be parked in front of the hotel Palace from 8.30 h till 8.40 h.


Transportation from Zagreb Airport to the hotels and from Zagreb Airport to FER

Zagrebacka banka Exchange Office at the Zagreb Airport works from 7.00 h till 21.00 h There you can exchange your money in Croatian Kunas.

There are two options to reach either the hotels or FER if you travel by plane and arrive at Zagreb Airport: either by taxi or by bus.

If you are going to use organized taxi you have option to order taxi in advance by sending an e-mail to the address: milan.j@vip.hr

Please, specify the date of your arrival and flight number in your mail. You should receive a confirmation that your request is accepted.

If you choose this option, the price of taxi drive from the airport to the hotels or from the airport to the FER is fixed to 150 HRK. You are welcome to use above option during your reside and on your departure from Zagreb as well.

Bus Airport - Main bus terminal

Bus of "Croatia Airlines" has first station at the exit of the main airport hall. Fare could be obtained when entering the bus and it costs 20 Kn. Bus runs after every arrival flight and drives to the Zagreb Main bus terminal (on Croatian: Autobusni kolodvor).

When you arrive on the Main bus terminal (on Croatian: Autobusni kolodvor), you have to use either taxi or tram to get to the hotels:

Taxi from the terminal to the hotels or to the FER costs appx. 30 Kn. You can use any free taxi in front of the Main bus terminal (on Croatian: Autobusni kolodvor).

Tram Main bus terminal - hotels

If you choose tram from Main bus terminal (on Croatian: Autobusni kolodvor), take tram no. 6 (direction Crnomerec). One-way fare costs 6 HRK. (Daily fare for unlimited number of travels per day costs 15 HRK and could be bought at the Tobacco shops). Fare could be obtained from tram driver.

To get to the Palace hotel, you should get off also at station named "Zrinjevac".

To get to the Dubrovnik hotel, you should get off at station named "Trg bana J. Jelacica". It is the square where your hotel is placed.

Tram Main bus terminal - FER

If you choose tram from Main bus terminal (on Croatian: Autobusni kolodvor), take tram no. 5 (direction Jarun). One-way fare costs 6 HRK. (Daily fare for unlimited number of travels per day costs 15 HRK and could be bought at the Tobacco shops). Fare could be obtained from tram driver.

To get to FER, you should get off at station named "Miramarska".


Transportation from the hotels to FER

Tram from the hotel Palace and from the hotel Dubrovnik to FER

If you stay in hotel Palace: In front of the hotel Palace there is tram station named "Zrinjevac".
You have two options:

1.)   Take tram no. 13 (direction Heinzelova). Get off the tram on the seventh station named "Vrbik".

2.)   Take tram no. 6. Get of the first tram station - it is the square Trg bana J. Jelacic.  and take any of the following trams: tram no. 14 (direction Zapruše), or tram no. 17 (direction Jarun). One-way fare costs 6 HRK. (Daily fare for unlimited number of travels per day costs 15 HRK and could be bought at the Tobacco shops). Fare can be bought from tram driver. Get off the tram on the forth station named "Studentski centar", and take the tram no. 13 (direction Heinzelova) or tram no. 3 (direction Heinzelova). The fare you bought in the previous tram is valid and you do not have to buy a new one. Get off the tram on the second station named "Vrbik".

If you stay in hotel Dubrovnik: Hotel Dubrovnik is situated at the square Trg bana J. Jelacica. You have two options:

1.)   Take tram no. 13 (direction Heinzelova). Get off the tram on the sixth station named "Vrbik".

2.)   Take any of the following trams: tram no. 14 (direction Zapruše), or tram no. 17 (direction Jarun). One-way fare costs 6 HRK. (Daily fare for unlimited number of travels per day costs 15 HRK and could be bought at the Tobacco shops). Fare can be bought from tram driver. Get off the tram on the forth station named "Studentski centar", and take the tram no. 13 (direction Heinzelova) or tram no. 3 (direction Heinzelova). The fare you bought in the previous tram is valid and you do not have to buy a new one. Get off the tram on the second station named "Vrbik".

On foot from the hotel Palace and from the hotel Dubrovnik to FER

You need about 15-20 min to get to the FER on foot from the hotels. For details please ask some of the ConTEL/WAON organizers, or use city map.


How to recognize FER ?

When you get off your tram on the station "Vrbik", go straight ahead for a while until you reach the complex of buildings containing the skyscraper with thirteen floors and huge antennas on your left side. The complex is situated on Av. Vukovar 39, but the entrance is in Unska street (in front of the entrance is a huge parking place). This is FER - Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, the location of ConTEL/WAON 2001. The address is:
