1. Paper Format

Instructions on the format of ConTEL papers and the corresponding LaTeX and MS Word templates can be found under Paper Format. The final paper format is the same as the initial submission format. The final camera-ready paper should strictly adhere to the required format.

2. Paper submission and review procedures

Papers submitted to ConTEL must not have been published, submitted, or accepted for publication elsewhere. IEEE policy regarding plagiarism and multiple submission/publication will be strictly enforced. For more detailed guidelines and policies, see IEEE intellectual property rights.

Submitted papers will undergo a peer review process, coordinated by the Program Committee.

Authors will achieve notification of acceptance or rejection via e-mail. Authors of accepted papers will be invited to submit final papers for inclusion in conference proceedings.

3. Paper submission system (EDAS)

We use EDAS Conference Management System for the overall paper submission and review process. Please use your existing EDAS account if you have one.

Papers are submitted online. For instructions for FINAL PAPER submission, go to Final Paper Submission.

4. Paper publication policy

Submission of a paper implies the authors acknowledge the requirement of registration and attendance by at least one author at the conference. For an accepted paper to be included in the conference program and the ConTEL 2013 Conference Proceedings, at least one of the authors is required to register by early/author registration deadline and attend the conference to present the work.

5. Conference proceedings and IEEE Xplore®

The ConTEL proceedings will be published in hardcopy and electronically in IEEE Xplore®, and submitted for indexing in INSPEC. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., remove it from IEEE Xplore®) if the paper is not presented at the conference.

6. Author registration

At least one author of each accepted paper must register before the Author/Early Registration deadline at the Member or Non-member rate.

7. Journal publications

Authors of the best accepted papers will be invited to submit an extended version for possible journal publication after the conference.

8. Best student paper award

See the announcement for the Best student paper award.

9. Cost of participation

Expenses associated with the conference participation, including but not limited to the registration fee, travel and accommodation, are the responsibility of the author. The conference organizers are unable to provide funding or assistance in that matter.
