The technical program will include physical sessions with on-site presentations and virtual (online) sessions for remote participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Some useful information on how to get to Zagreb by plane, train, bus or car are listed below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>By&nbsp;air<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Zagreb international airport&nbsp;is directly connected to major European cities. It is well connected with the city centre by bas and taxis. Croatian air transport company is called \u201cCroatia Airlines\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Useful links:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.croatiaairlines.com\/?affiliateid=CTN00005\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Croatia Airlines<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 a national airline company is&nbsp;a member of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.staralliance.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Star Alliance<\/a>.<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zagreb-airport.hr\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zagreb airport<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 Zagreb Airport is called \u201cFranjo Tu\u0111man\u201d (<strong>airport code: ZAG<\/strong>).<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=Zagreb+Airport,+Op%C4%87ina+Velika+Gorica,+Croatia&amp;hl=en&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=45.737998,16.069136&amp;spn=0.042892,0.096045&amp;sll=37.0625,-95.677068&amp;sspn=49.444078,98.349609&amp;oq=zagreb+airport&amp;t=h&amp;hq=Zagreb+Airport,+Op%C4%87ina+Velika+Gorica,+Croatia&amp;z=14\">&nbsp;It is located 17 km from the city center<\/a>&nbsp;(about 25 minutes by car or bus).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3>Transportation to\/from the airport \u2013 shuttle bus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is an&nbsp;<strong>airport shuttle bus<\/strong>, operated by \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/plesoprijevoz.hr\/en\/start\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pleso prijevoz<\/a>\u201c. You can buy&nbsp;the tickets&nbsp;in advance using their online payment. A one-way ticket costs 30 HRK and may be bought from the driver, but make sure you have local currency (Kuna, HRK). (The approximate exchange rate as of March 2017 is 1 EUR = 7.4 HRK, and 1 USD = 7.0&nbsp;HRK.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bus has two terminals, one located at the Airport, and the other located at the Main Bus Station in Zagreb (<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=Autobusni+kolodvor,+Avenija+Marina+Dr%C5%BEi%C4%87a+4,+Zagreb&amp;hl=en&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=45.804348,15.992682&amp;spn=0.005355,0.012006&amp;sll=45.803473,15.993283&amp;sspn=0.005355,0.012006&amp;t=h&amp;hq=Autobusni+kolodvor,&amp;hnear=Avenija+Marina+Dr%C5%BEi%C4%87a+4,+10000,+Zagreb,+Croatia&amp;fll=45.804669,15.992564&amp;fspn=0.005355,0.012006&amp;z=17\">Autobusni kolodvor, Avenija Marina Dr\u017ei\u0107a 4<\/a>).&nbsp;It also makes a few stops (on request), one in New Zagreb, and one close to the \u201cVatroslav Lisinski\u201d concert hall. (If you are staying at the International Hotel, or coming directly to the International Hotel from the airport, this is where you should get off the bus \u2013 just ask the driver to let you out at \u201cLisinski\u201d \u2013 this is about one block away from the hotel and the hotel sign is already visible from there.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bus terminal at the Airport is located just outside the airport building. Buses run at half-hour intervals for most of he day. See&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/plesoprijevoz.hr\/en\/time-table\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bus schedule<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once at the Main Bus Station, there is a taxi station and a tram station right in front of the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Transportation to\/from the airport \u2013&nbsp;ZET public transport<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The cheapest option to get to the city is by public transportation operated by ZET (more about&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expatincroatia.com\/zet-zagrebs-public-transportation-system\/\">ZET tickets and operations is here<\/a>). There is bus line 290 that is operating from the airport to the Kvaternik Square. The bus operates in 2 zones. The ticket is 20 HRK&nbsp;and may be bought from the driver, but make sure you have local currency (Kuna, HRK). (The approximate exchange rate as of March 2017 is 1 EUR = 7.4 HRK, and 1 USD = 7.0&nbsp;HRK.). The buss is leaving approximately every 30 minutes. The timetable is&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zagreb-airport.hr\/UserDocsImages\/dokumenti\/ZET_linija_290.pdf\">here<\/a>&nbsp;and here is bus&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zagreb-airport.hr\/UserDocsImages\/dokumenti\/Trasa_ZET_linije_290_Zagreb%20(Kvaternikov%20trg)_zra%C4%8Dna%20luka_Velika%20Gorica.pdf\">route<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are staying in Hotel International you need to exit at station&nbsp;<strong>Radni\u010dka&nbsp;<\/strong>and then take&nbsp;<strong>tram 3<\/strong>&nbsp;toward Ljubljanica (approximate&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zet.hr\/userdocsimages\/voznired\/3.pdf\">timetable<\/a>)&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>tram 13<\/strong>&nbsp;toward Kvaternik Square (approximate&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zet.hr\/userdocsimages\/voznired\/13.pdf\">timetable<\/a>). The taxi terminal at the Airport is located just outside the airport building. Taxi ride from the airport to the city center costs approximately 160-200 Croatian kunas (22 \u2013 26 \u20ac).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several taxi operators can be used. It is advisable to either order a taxi by phone or agree on the price before entering the vehicle to avoid being cheated. Also, nationals of some countries need a visa to enter Croatia \u2013 if you need a visa, make sure to apply well in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Visa requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Citizens of some countries need an entry visa for the Republic of Croatia. Current visa regulations are given at the Web site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. Registration fees must be paid in full before the letter is provided.
